Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are compounds with high vapor pressure and low solubility (or resins) such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene just to name a few. Meaning they can release into the air from flooring laminates, glue, sealants and other materials typically used. This is known as ‘off gassing.’ At room temperature harmful chemicals are released into the air.
